JURA maintenance

JURA care, organised by the machine you actually own.

JURA builds much of its maintenance into the machine: prompted cleaning programmes, CLARIS filter monitoring, descaling routines and milk-system cleaning. The important part is using the exact programme for the exact generation.

How JURA maintenance works

Four different jobs. Do not collapse them into one “cleaning” routine.

JURA’s own UK support separates machine cleaning, filter changing, descaling and milk-system cleaning. Ventori keeps the same distinction so you can go straight to the job your machine is asking for.

Current UK range

Current JURA home machines with dedicated maintenance routes.

The current UK range spans compact ENA machines through E, C, S, J and Z lines to the GIGA 10. Rather than treating “JURA” as one procedure, each model now has its own clean URL and care summary.

GIGA
JURA GIGA 10

GIGA 10

JURA’s flagship home platform combines a large drink menu with automatic cleaning programmes, filter monitoring and a milk system that needs its own daily hygiene routine.

JURA Z10

Z10

The Z10 is a premium bean-to-cup machine with integrated cleaning, descaling and filter programmes plus a milk circuit that should be cleaned whenever milk drinks are prepared.

JURA J10 twin

J10 twin

The twin-grinder J10 keeps coffee-system care largely automatic, but its filter, milk system and prompted cleaning programmes still need to be treated as separate maintenance jobs.

JURA J10

J10

The J10 uses integrated cleaning and descaling programmes, automatic filter detection and a one-touch milk system that JURA says should be cleaned every day when milk has been prepared.

JURA J8 twin

J8 twin

J8 twin combines two grinders with JURA’s automatic care programmes. Keep prompted coffee-system cleaning, CLARIS filter changes and milk-system hygiene on separate schedules.

JURA S8

S8

The S8 is a long-running premium JURA platform. Its recurring care centres on the automatic cleaning programme, filter management, descaling when required and regular milk-system cleaning.

JURA E10

E10

The E10 sits in JURA’s current E line and follows the same maintenance logic: daily hygiene, prompted tablet cleaning, monitored filtration and milk-system care where milk is used.

JURA E8

E8

The E8 is one of JURA’s most important home machines. JURA’s own support separates filter changing, machine cleaning, descaling and milk-system cleaning into distinct maintenance routines.

JURA E6

E6

The E6 is a simpler E-line machine but still relies on automatic coffee-system cleaning, monitored water care and milk-system hygiene rather than a removable brew-group routine.

JURA C9

C9

The compact C9 brings JURA’s current cleaning, descaling, filter and milk-system programmes into a smaller platform. Follow the machine prompts rather than using a generic bean-to-cup sequence.

ENA
JURA ENA 8

ENA 8

ENA 8 is compact but still has the full mix of coffee-system, water and milk maintenance. Its smaller format does not mean the milk circuit or prompted cleaning programmes can be skipped.

ENA
JURA ENA 4

ENA 4

ENA 4 is the simplest current JURA home machine and focuses on black coffee. That removes milk-system care, leaving daily hygiene, the internal cleaning programme, filtration and descaling as the core jobs.

JURA-specific rules

Automatic does not mean maintenance-free.

The brew system is designed around integrated programmes rather than the removable brew-group routine used by brands such as Philips or De’Longhi. The machine prompt is therefore an important part of the maintenance workflow.

Do not backflush it

A JURA bean-to-cup machine is not a traditional espresso machine with a blind basket.

Do not remove the brew unit

Use the integrated cleaning programme rather than forcing access to the internal brew mechanism.

Check the CLARIS generation

Smart, Smart+, Blue and older cartridge families are not interchangeable by assumption.

Milk has its own clock

On milk machines, clean the milk system every day it has been used rather than waiting for a coffee-system prompt.

Follow the prompt first

Cleaning, filter and descale timing is driven by machine status and configuration, not a single universal calendar.

VENTORI CARE

Put the JURA maintenance jobs on one schedule.

Use Ventori Care alongside the JURA’s own prompts so daily milk care, filter changes and the less frequent programmes are easier to keep visible.
