Group Head Cleaning
Run the touchscreen cleaning programme using the cleaning disc and tablet.
Water filter
Replace the ClaroSwiss cartridge and keep the replacement date visible.
Descaling
Run the touchscreen Descale Cycle and complete every fresh-water rinse.
Grinder
Dry-brush burrs and the grind outlet when residue begins to build.

Coffee-oil cleaning
Run Group Head Cleaning from the touchscreen.
The Barista Touch Impress cleaning programme is a backflushing cycle and is separate from descaling.
Fit the correct basket and cleaning disc
Use the Sage cleaning disc or insert supplied for your machine.
Add one suitable cleaning tablet
Place the tablet in the cleaning disc or basket exactly as the machine procedure shows.
Start the cleaning programme
Use the machine prompt, touchscreen menu or model-specific button sequence.
Let the full cycle finish
Do not interrupt the pressure and rinse stages once the programme is running.
Rinse the brew parts
Remove and rinse the portafilter, basket and cleaning disc before making coffee again.
Mineral scale care
Use the touchscreen Descale Cycle.
Open Settings and use the guided descale programme. Remove the fitted water filter when the screen instructs you to and complete the full rinse.
Prepare the machine
Empty the drip tray, remove the filter if requested and position a suitable collection container.
Prepare descaling solution
Use the product dose and water quantity required by the machine programme.
Open the Descale Cycle
Use Settings → Maintenance / Descale Cycle and follow the touchscreen sequence.
Complete every rinse
Rinse and refill the tank with fresh water whenever requested before returning to normal use.
Water filtration
Keep the ClaroSwiss filter change separate from descaling.
The Barista Touch Impress uses the current Sage ClaroSwiss filter system.
Check filter compatibility
Older Dual Boiler and Oracle production runs can use a different filter arrangement, so check the batch/holder before ordering.
Soak the replacement
Prepare the current ClaroSwiss cartridge using the filter instructions before fitting it.
Fit it securely
Install the prepared cartridge into the holder and lock the holder into the water tank.
Track the replacement
Use the machine reminder or installation date so the next change is not missed.
Milk hygiene
Wipe, purge and keep the Auto MilQ wand clear.
Automatic purging helps, but the outside of the wand and steam-tip holes still need physical care.
Purge before milk
Run a short purge before texturing milk.
Wipe immediately
Wipe the wand with a clean damp cloth while milk residue is still soft.
Allow the purge
Where the machine has automatic purging, return the wand to its normal position and let the purge finish.
Clear the tip when needed
Use the supplied cleaning tool or the exact Sage cleaning method if the steam holes become restricted.
Dry coffee care
Keep the integrated grinder dry and free of stale grounds.
Grinder cleaning is a dry maintenance job and should remain separate from water or detergent cleaning.
Empty or isolate the beans
Remove beans before deeper grinder cleaning.
Keep the burr chamber dry
Brush away loose grounds and stale coffee; do not introduce water into the grinder.
Clean the outlet
Clear dry coffee residue from the grind chute or dosing area using the supplied brush.
Reassemble before use
Refit all removable grinder parts securely before adding beans.
