How to Descale a Philips 4300
- Empty the drip tray and remove the AquaClean filter from the water tank.
- Add the descaler into the water tank as per the manufacturers instructions.
- Place a 1.5l suitable container under the coffee and water spout.
- Turn on the machine and press and hold the Calc/Clean icon for 3 seconds. Then press the start/stop button to begin the descaling procedure.
- During the descaling cycle, the Calc/Clean light will flash to show descaling is in progress.
- The machine will dispense water through the coffee and hot water spout. Once the water tank is empty, the water tank light icon will illuminate.
- Rinse and refill the water tank with fresh water up to the Calc/Clean indicator.
- Press the stop/start button to begin the rinse cycle. This will take approximately 3 minutes.
- During the rinse cycle, the lights on the control panel will flash.
- Once the machine stops dispensing water, the rinse is complete.
- When the lights in the drink icons light up continuously, the machine is ready to use.
- Install and activate a new AquaClean filter prior to use.
